Short Description

Based in Lyon, France, you will be part of the Thermal Management and Power Distribution team, which is spread across two locations: Göteborg (Sweden) and Lyon.
You will work in a global and international environment with exciting and demanding challenges.

As an Apprentice Buyer, you will have responsibility for purchasing activities related to our portfolio, from supporting supplier selection to progressively managing your own scope, with the objective to drive continuous improvement and performance for the Group.

Together with your purchasing and cross-functional network, you will proactively drive all relevant activities to secure best-in-class supplier QDCFTSR (*) performance during product development and serial life.

(*) QDCFTSR = Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management

Missions

You will be part of all the below activities within the Thermal Management & Power Distribution scope:

  • Drive all relevant activities to deliver QDCFTSR (*) targets during Sourcing/Project and Operations phases
  • Lead sourcing projects to completion, when required, in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and ensure their proper implementation
  • Identify, mitigate and monitor risks, including supplier crisis situations
  • Actively contribute to team development by bringing improvement ideas, supporting peers, sharing best practices, and seeking support when needed

  • You are fluent in English
  • You are a strong and flexible team player, eager to learn, improve, and support peers when needed
  • You demonstrate a can-do attitude, with a positive mindset, high level of energy, and willingness to take on challenges
  • You have a strong interest in business and negotiation, with solid communication skills, and feel comfortable in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
  • You are able to organize your work efficiently, manage multiple parallel activities, and able to synthesize complex and/or long information
  • You are proactive in asking for advice, support, and feedback when needed
  • You have a good understanding of the Buyer role and its responsibilities
  • You are or will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering or Purchasing Management

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in Purchasing
  • Technical background
  • Automotive industry exposure
