Your future team

 

The Purchasing Strategic Development team is part of the Volvo Group Purchasing division. We are three project managers, evenly based between France and Sweden. Our mission is to identify risks affecting our supplier base and to build action plans to mitigate them. Our work is used by purchasing teams to develop their strategy and anticipate market developments in their respective segments.

Our team is driven by the desire to support each other in the challenges we face, to share best practices, and to do so in a good mood.

 

We are looking for a Project Manager who can strengthen the team from 1 September 2026. We are located in Saint-Priest (France) and our site is well connected to Lyon’s public transport networks. The duration and terms of the apprenticeship can be adjusted depending on your school constraints.

Here is how you could make an impact in our team:

•    Be the right-hand person to the strategic project manager across multiple procurement segments
•    Contribute to our team discussions on strategies to define by procurement segment
•    Develop our reporting and artificial intelligence tools
•    Monitor and streamline the financial performance of our key suppliers
•    Provide input as part of the continuous improvement of our procedures

Who are you?

•    We are looking for a motivated, agile person, eager to learn and improve
•    You have a positive attitude, a high level of energy, and you are ready to take on challenges
•    You are interested in business relationships, demonstrate communication skills, and are comfortable in a multifunctional and multicultural environment
•    You are proficient in data management tools and have good knowledge of AI tools
•    You are fluent in English
•    You enjoy managing multiple activities in parallel and have a goal-oriented approach
•    You are pursuing an academic degree in engineering or business school, aiming to obtain a Master of Science or a Master of Business Administration
•    Previous experience in procurement, technical training, and experience in the automotive industry are considered assets
