CAB Exterior Plastic team is made of 15 passioned buyers located in France (Lyon) and Sweden (Gothenburg) led by a passioned manager. Our team is part of CAB department in which +60 multicultural buyers are linked by a strong feeling of camaderie and dedication.

Leading projects to source Exterior Plastic parts makes us contribute to combine Volvo brand message with maximum air performance delivery to create beautiful and air dynamic trucks. We participate in giving the right artistic vision from design and we supply the air dynamic performance to reduce fuel consumption that meet our customer demand. We are actively contributing to reach Volvo group and customers long-term ambitions related to sustainability.

Our parts are design, visible and aerodynamic ones like lower fronts, bumpers, black offs, deflectors, chassis fairings…

 

Job Description

You will work in an exciting and global environment with exciting challenges. As Commodity and Project buyer, you will be in charge of a portfolio that requires to manage supplier relationship, continuous improvement and performance. You will also be mentored by one of our buyers in order to contribute to the segment strategy and collaborate very closely with your cross-functional stakeholders.

 

Your Key responsibilities will include the following activities:

  • Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers
  • Secure project deliveries
  • Identify, mitigate and monitor risks
  • Do and drive all relevant activities to deliver QDC targets during Sourcing/Project and/or Operations phases
  • Propose & promote ideas to improve the CO2 Footprint of our supply chain
  • Drive Cost reduction ideas generation (deep dive and portfolio analysis)
  • Lead cross functional work with other functions (engineering, logistic, manufacturing) to implement such ideas
  • Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas, support your peers, sharing good cases and ask for support when needed

 

Who are you?

  • Well-developed business acumen, agile in way of working
  • 5+ years of purchasing experience within Industry. Automotive sector is preferred
  • Master degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Business Administration, or equivalent working experience
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven negotiation and analytical skills
  • Experience in creating and delivering critical path timelines
  • Always trying to improve, both yourself and your work environment 
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus
