The Engineering Graduate Program at Volvo Group Trucks Technology is a global 12-month program, offering the perfect balance between on-the-job learning and dedicated development modules.

You will work on real products and real business challenges, while developing both your technical expertise and your professional skills. Throughout the program, you will also strengthen your communication, collaboration and problem-solving capabilities.

In addition to your manager, you will benefit from a strong network of fellow graduates, experienced colleagues and senior leaders who will support your growth and development.

 

How you will make an impact:

 

As an Engineering Graduate – Diagnostic Engineer, you will join an agile diagnostic engineering team and contribute to the development of diagnostic solutions for Volvo Group vehicles.

In close collaboration with your scrum master, product owner and colleagues at other sites, you will:

  • Develop, verify and validate diagnostic content for new vehicles
  • Analyze product and project information to design diagnostic strategies focused on customer satisfaction and vehicle uptime
  • Contribute to the creation of virtual test rigs and models to automate verification and validation activities
  • Support the team in increasing automation, a key lever to meet future challenges
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality diagnostic solutions for aftermarket services

You meet the following requirements

To qualify for the Engineering Graduate Program, you:

 

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, completed no more than 18 months before the program start
  • Have no more than two years of full-time professional experience after graduation
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken (French is required for this position)
  • Have knowledge of automotive electronic systems and embedded software
  • Are familiar with functional and system specifications
  • Have hands-on experience with CAN protocol
  • Have programming skills in Python, Java and/or C++
  • Are able to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Have an interest in automation and verification methods
