Who are we?
Supply Partner Development (SPD) team is part of the Resilient Supply Network and Project Management at Volvo Group Purchasing. We manage the product project portfolio, capacity planning, and crisis and risk management. Our mission is to ensure the best performance and customer success through effective coordination with various Volvo Group entities.
Our team develops high-performing supply partners to ensure sustainable performance for Volvo customers. We are a strategic steering line for SPD purchasing activities in Europe. We are working in an international environment.

What will you do ?
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Manage a team of experts: Lead a team of SPD engineers dedicated to improving performance and securing capacity at our supply partners.
Ensure continuous monitoring: Keep up-to-date knowledge of installed capacities at supply partners and engage the team in capacity management activities when necessary.
Optimize opportunities: Use your expertise to help the buyers' community identify and capture improvement opportunities at supply partners through a lean approach.
Support production: identify low-performing supply partners, analyze root causes, and improve the situation on-site using all available lean tools.
Promote excellence: Develop and apply problem-solving techniques to achieve operational excellence at our supply partners.
Represent Volvo Group: Travel to represent Volvo Group Purchasing at supply partners and ensure effective collaboration.
Develop the team: Recruit and manage the development of your team to ensure optimal performance.
As a member of the Supply Partner Development Leadership team, you will actively contribute to the strategic development of the department. You will report directly to the Head of Supply Partner Development.
Who are you ?
You have significant experience linked to supply chain, production, or purchasing preferably in automotive or heavy commercial truck industry.
In a context of a managerial position, you are recognized by your team as a leader.
You have strong cost management and problem-solving skills/experiences.
You have already interacted directly with suppliers and monitored their performance.
Working in an international environment, excellent English skills, both verbal and written, are expected.
