Join Renault Trucks and the Volvo Group entities to lead the Public Affairs strategy and manage relations with public authorities!

In this role, you will advise the Executive Committee and senior leaders on key political and regulatory issues, and you will help protect and promote the Group’s reputation and interests.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and roll out the France Public Affairs strategy and agenda, aligned with the business strategy (decarbonization, electromobility, digitalisation, innovation, sustainability).
  • Represent the company with public institutions (ministries, agencies, regulators, Parliament, local authorities) and professional associations.
  • Build and lead a high-level network and carry out advocacy activities (working groups, coalitions, events, site visits, round tables).
  • Conduct active monitoring, analyse legislative and regulatory developments (road transport, climate, energy, environment, taxation, infrastructure, industry) and produce briefing notes for top management.
  • Develop the Group’s positions by coordinating internal expertise (engineering, manufacturing, sustainability, communications, legal, sales/marketing).
  • Draft position papers, key messages and advocacy materials, and support and train internal spokespersons.
  • Coordinate alignment with other Volvo Group entities, the EU level, and represent the Group with Swedish institutions in France.
  • Manage the Public Affairs budget (memberships, external advisors, events, studies).


Profile :

  • Master’s degree in political science, law, public policy, international relations, economics or equivalent.
    Additional training in climate/energy or transport is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in public affairs, government relations or EU affairs, gained in an industrial company, public institution, ministerial cabinet, professional association, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of public policies and regulations related to road transport, decarbonization, climate/energy, the environment and industrial policy.
  • Good understanding of French legislative and regulatory processes and EU decision-making mechanisms.
  • Ability to turn complex topics into clear, actionable positions.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, influencing leadership, excellent communication skills.

  • Fluent French and English (written and spoken).

Location

Ideally Paris, with regular presence in Lyon
. Occasional travel to Sweden.
