GTT Digital Operations, within Group Trucks Technology (GTT), leads the digital transformation journey by driving collaboration, creating synergies, and ensuring operational efficiency. We manage and coordinate IT solutions and infrastructure that support our core engineering functions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our AI and Data Science Lab (DSL) team. You will contribute to the development and evolution of our Data & Analytics platform, which hosts critical data from field test vehicles and test labs. This platform enables our analytics community to build competencies, develop models and prototypes, and extract valuable insights.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting onboarding of engineers at the Lyon site into the GTT AI ecosystem and DSL.

  • Gathering AI-related business needs and use cases from the site and aligning them with the global AI strategy.

  • Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.

  • Establishing and promoting ways of working for the AI ecosystem locally, in close collaboration with central teams.

  • Driving AI awareness and knowledge sharing within the engineering community.

  • Enhancing productivity through training, tooling, and local AI support.

  • Managing use case collection, evaluating business value, and setting local priorities.


WHO ARE YOU?

You are passionate about digital transformation in the field of vehicle development. You are eager to support a data-driven culture and play a key role in enabling AI-powered innovation at scale.

We believe the right candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Python and distributed computing concepts.

  • Proven expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark (preferably PySpark), and/or Kafka.

  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes).

  • Solid background in data architecture and building scalable data pipelines.

  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.

  • Familiarity with AI concepts and enthusiasm to contribute to AI frameworks using open-source technologies.

  • Experience designing and supporting MLOps frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a user-centric approach to understanding and delivering technology solutions.

You are fluent in English and known for being a proactive problem solver, creative thinker, and collaborative team player.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience in SQL.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

  • Prior experience working with global engineering teams.
