Aftermarket Technology, part of the Complete Vehicle organization, operates across five Group Trucks Technology sites and provides the best aftermarket engineering solutions to support Volvo Group’s Business Areas and their service network.

We turn our deep technical, customer, and business knowledge into high-quality repair and service solutions — ensuring our technicians, parts specialists, and independent dealers can fully support our end customers.

As a Service & Repair Engineer – Electrical, you will:

  • Define methods and labor time standards for the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems in our vehicles.
  • Ensure all procedures meet Volvo Group safety standards and legal regulations.
  • Perform virtual and physical testing in workshop environments to validate service content.
  • Contribute to serviceability requirements to ensure reparability is built into the design.
  • Secure the quality and implementation of repair methods into the aftermarket systems.
  • Support and improve electrical safety processes and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.

You will also:

  • Contribute to the development of immersive service solutions (AR/VR).
  • Play an active role in fostering an innovation-driven culture.
  • Explore and enhance data-driven approaches to process and product improvement.

 

Your future team

You will join an "Agile" team setup alongside your Scrum Master, Product Owner, and colleagues from both local and international sites, you will help design and validate innovative repair methods to support the next generation of Volvo Group vehicles.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure repair solutions are validated across stakeholders, with a holistic value chain perspective.
  • Take ownership of repair methods and associated spare parts throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Act as a reference point for repair support, ensuring clarity for the service network.
  • Work in a truly global and cross-functional environment with multicultural teams.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our processes, tools, and deliverables.
  • Apply your data automation skills to bring smart, innovative approaches to aftermarket engineering.

 

 Who are you?

 Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry, aftermarket service, customer support, or workshops.
  • Solid knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in developing service or repair solutions.
  • Familiarity with Product Development and PLM tools (Volvo tools such as PDM/PLM, SID, GRIPS are a plus).
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Exposure to immersive technologies (AR/VR) is a strong asset.

  • Volvo Engineering tools (KOLA).
  • CAD tools (Creoview, Catia, PTC Suite).
  • Aftermarket content authoring tools (SID, GRIPS).
  • Immersive solutions tools (AR/VR) – preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English (daily international collaboration).
  • Proficiency in French.
