Mission / Purpose of the Job
- Plan and execute marketing plan to achieve intended brand image, customer satisfaction index and outcomes. Support to secure leading position in terms of sales target and market shares.
- Communicate internally and externally, to ensure branding, communication, Corporate Identity (CI) and other local marketing guidelines / policy are adhered to secure leading brand position among EU makes and premium brand status.
- Support sales, service market and retail operations in growing the business per ambition set in business plan.
- Support the Corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and ensure it is in line with Volvo Group’s core values.
- Prepare and monitor marketing budget and expenses, including review of return of investment (ROI) for marketing investment.
- Plan and execute Public Relation Management and communication plan in various channel including digital and non-digital platforms.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives to strengthen Volvo Trucks’ online presence and support business growth.
- The Marketing Manager will also work closely with sales, dealer partners and product teams to develop compelling content, customer success stories and targeted marketing initiatives that enhance Volvo Trucks’ premium brand positioning and support customer acquisition and retention.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Plan and lead the development of brand and marketing communication strategies
- Develop and monitor annual marketing budget and monthly marketing S&A tracking.
- Develop communication plans and apply standards that promote continuity and consistency across the company's communication practices.
- Focus on responsible external public relations and internal communication activities for supporting company’s goal, objective, strategy and vision. Includes crisis management.
- Generate good rapport with media and execute PR strategy in securing premium brand image and positive media coverage.
- Propose the concept and execute marketing activities / events / promotions /campaign in order to generate customer relationship and prospect for sales. Plan and execute the event according to budget, and timeline.
- Support Sales team with marketing materials upon customers’ request.
- Manage digital eco-systems for VT Malaysia ranging from website, CRM tool to the various social media platforms, including building, managing and engaging in SoMe.
- Execute digital campaigns, support lead generation activities, and leveraging on marketing analytics to monitor campaign effectiveness and customer engagement event.
- Provide and monitor all company’s souvenirs and merchandises stocks.
- Execute action plans from Brand image and Customer Satisfaction (BCS) for marketing function.
- Lead and work with external parties/customers on possible CSR projects and core value communication.
- Ensure Corporate Identity (CI) compliance for dealerships (use of identity carrier, signage and brochure display), to replenish/ display updated brochure/ flyer/ bunting at HQ lobby
- Dissemination of media tracking and collation of monthly Public Relation value report
- Develop write up and manage internal communication (Violin, Volvo Group Newsletter) and any customer newsletter/ magazine (as and when applicable)
- Plan and execute marketing activation to promote customer satisfaction index for sales and dealerships.
- To participate and contribute on any adhoc projects that are assigned by VP-VSLM accordingly
- To liaise with brand communication, marketing representatives from Volvo Trucks International (VTI) on ongoing marketing projects and updates
- Able to strategize and carry out crisis management for brand image with the support of agencies, VTI subject matter expert (SME) and VP-VSLM

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
- Minimum Degree in Marketing or related field
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- At least 3-5 years of working experiences either in advertising, branding, marketing, event management or PR
- Good understanding of digital marketing-including social media management, e-commerce, data analytics and etc.
- Think fast on their feet, generate ideas, fun, and eager to learn as well as help with workload in the team.
- Basic understanding on project management.
- Able to work and perform with minimal supervision.
- Good networks with PR agency and media management.
- Broad generalist profile with the cross-functional background or specialist background
