Mission/Purpose of the Job

 

  • Service coordination for Rapid Bus site
  • To ensure bus uptime and performance per KPI set by the customer
  • To collate, compile and prepare reports on bus performance
  • To manage the duty and shifts of on-site technicians

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Manage service schedule referring to VOSP provided by Aftermarket Manager
  • Monitor and manage respective campaigns, ensuring all campaigns are completed on schedule including keeping records of the campaign completion date with acknowledgement (signature) from customer
  • Selection of & allocation of work/repair orders to Technician staff, including logging time on/off job online.
  • Assisting and guiding technician on-site on technical issues through VBC technical support as and when necessary. Notify Line Manager immediately for any new issues on site
  • Ensuring Technician staff know what work they are to carry out, the scope of each job & the target time for the job.
  • Liaisons with Volvo Trucks Shah Alam Parts Department to ensure sufficient stocks of the correct parts are available and supplied on time, plan for parts replenishment on-site
  • Ensuring that all relevant Warranty Claim or Contract Claim displaced is correctly labelled and placed within the Warranty Material holding area.
  • Making recommendations with regard to overtime claim of technicians
  • Ensure all KPIS stipulated in Maintenance Service Agreement (MSA) Bus Availability KPI at 95% (taking 6am and 3pm for count on daily basis), Repair time not exceeding 5 days, breakdown response time not exceeding 2 hour
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors on servicing schedule and breakdown attendance and ensure 
  • respective party respond in Warranty Group Chat on timely manner
  • Provide daily update on bus availability in Volvo/ Rapid Bus warranty group chat 2 times per day based on 6am and 3pm count
  • Ensure Warranty claim Notification Form (WCNF) is opened and closed properly with detail input on the breakdown root cause, and rectification plan. WCNF needs to be collected from depots on weekly basis. Monthly submission of the data to line manager should be made not later than 2nd day of subsequent month
  • Attend monthly warranty meeting and maintenance service meeting, and provide update and clarification on customers’ enquiry
  • Keep track / record on WCNF Master data file and identify potential endemic issue / case
  • Keep track / record of all breakdowns, RTD, warranty repair buses, accident buses
  • Keep track / record of all maintenance service record and Puspakom prep buses
  • To update and send service record, and compile documents needed for MSA claims to customer on monthly basis
  • co-ordination on-site technicians and sub-contractors as well as implementing Company Policy including discipline where applicable.
  • Leading by example you will ensure a high level of Health & safety performance within the area of responsibility.
  • To answer technical queries from customers, referring them to other sources of information where appropriate.
  • Any other duties assigned by your immediate superior. 

Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates

Minimum 3 years’ experience within the commercial vehicle industry and workshop management

  • Experience handling Volvo B8L with some level of product understanding is an added advantage
  • Ability to be interact with all levels of people from managers to site technicians and bus driver
  • Systematic and structured, process oriented and maintain proper documentation and records
  • To be at all times a team player.
