Job Summary

At Volvo Construction Equipment you will be responsible for performing Volvo CE repair and maintenance work, both in workshops and at job sites, in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The incumbent is a front-line employee with direct customer contact and contributes to the dealer’s success. In addition to technical skills, people skills are important for effective customer relationship management and decision making. The incumbent must be able to work independently.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform all services and repairs on Volvo CE machines, in workshops and job site 
  • Work safely and user safe techniques and be responsible for OJT safety practices 
  • Provide parts recommendation after machine inspection 
  • Complete all job cards, report and claim after each job 
  • Maintain clean work area and field vehicle, proper use and take care of workplace, tools, equipment at workshop and field 
  • Responsible for diagnosing problems, disassembly/assembly, repair equipment, estimate repair cost, minimize re-work 
  • Maintain proper job documentation, working records for time, parts, supplies and ensure records are kept properly
  • Active participation in training 
  • Report additional work on machines and inform supervisor
  • Ensure parts and materials not used are returned, including warranty parts after the work is completed
  • Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition 
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures, follow local regulation especially disposal of hazardous waste
  • Report writing, schematic reading and machine repair skills 

Education & Skills Required

  • Higher Secondary/ STPM/ A Level/ Pre-U/Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
  • At least 2 years work experience in the related field
  • Valid driver license with GDL 
  • Able to read and write simple English
  • Good work attitude, team player
