What you will do

At VCE you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will: 

  1. Develop and implement internal logistics strategies to drive operational excellence
  2. Design and optimize internal logistics processes, including material flow, supply methods, and shopfloor logistics planning
  3. Lead logistics automation and digitalization initiatives, such as AGV, AS/RS, CTU, RFID, and SAP EWM implementation
  4. Configure and maintain logistics master data in SAP, manage and update PFEP for process efficiency
  5. Optimize packaging instructions to reduce transportation and packaging material costs
  6. Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs, including inventory accuracy, delivery precision, and material handling efficiency
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth end-to-end material flow
  8. Support NPD projects by providing logistics expertise for layout planning, packaging, and material handling planning
  9. Be responsible for logistics training as a process owner, ensuring competency development of the operational team
  10. Support ECN implementation on the shopfloor
  11. Participate in Kaizen activities to promote continuous improvement
  12. Perform other tasks assigned by managers

 

Who are you?

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or a related field
  2. 5+ years of experience in logistics engineering within a manufacturing environment
  3. Proven track record in designing and developing internal logistics
  4. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, experience with SAP EWM implementation is highly preferred.
  5. Project management experience in logistics automation and digitalization projects.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Proficiency in CAD / CATIA, simulation tools such as Flexsim is a plus
  9. Strong interest in new technologies, e.g. IoT, automation, digitalization
  10. Proficiency in English skills both written and spoken
  11. LEAN manufacturing principles
