What you will do

Role purpose

Drive Volvo Penta China business growth and customer success by turning MU China priorities into high-quality, hands-on marketing execution, including content creation, multi-channel communications, and marketing activities across Off-road, Power Generation, and Services, supporting the “In China, For China” agenda and the 2030 strategic goals.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Closely work with business teams to build and execute China marketing priorities and plans aligned with MU China strategic goals.
  • Turn strategy into action with strong operational and execution capabilities, hands-on attitude, and clear delivery ownership.
  • Lead market and customer insight system: segment sizing, win loss, competitor intelligence. Identify high-potential opportunities in key segments and service growth drivers.
  • Provide decision support to China leadership on positioning, portfolio focus, and prioritization.
  • Create and localize marketing assets, including product brochures, application stories, presentations, case stories, website content, WeChat/LinkedIn posts, videos and other sales enablement materials.
  • Drive efficient internal content development with key functions and stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and fast release.
  • Lead multi-channel brand and product communication, including social media, company websites, digital platforms, and offline activities such as exhibitions, forums, seminars, and customer events.
  • Support marketing for service offerings and connectivity initiatives, including customer training content and promotion activities in collaboration with Sales and Service.
  • Lead relationships with industry media where relevant, and coordinate suppliers when needed, but remain accountable for output quality, timing, and cost.
  • Budget planning for marketing activities and content production.
  • Performance measurement and ROI tracking for key activities and channels and propose actionable improvements based on results.
  • Ensure compliance with Volvo brand and communication guidelines and follow internal approval processes.

Who are you?

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in B2B marketing in industrial, off-road, power solutions, components, energy systems, or similar industries.
  • Strong capability in segment strategy, value proposition, and cross-functional working.
  • Strong marketing sense, communication & storytelling ability, and marketing analysis skills.
  • Digital and channel basics: social media operations and website/digital platform content publishing; KPI tracking and reporting mindset.
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English.
