What you will do
- Manage the sub-commodities purchasing strategy for Volvo Construction Equipment in China.
- Can directly manage some commodity buyers in his area of responsibility
- Establish a strong relationship with the corresponding Product Engineering technology platform to ensure the most optimal level of Early Supply Development
- Work in accordance with the Volvo CE processes, the Volvo Way, and the Volvo values and behaviours
- The strategies will consider the following objectives:
- Establishing a robust common process with Product Technologies to support new product development, product maintenance as well as the continuous improvement programs of VCE’s commodity supply base.
- Establishing multi-year contracts and managing the relationship of the commodity top suppliers.
- Manage the number of suppliers.
- Support sourcing activities from China
- Building and managing the commodity multi-year productivity pipeline.
- Developing and managing a multi-year QSCC continuous improvement program.

Who are you?
1. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
- Proven experience in sourcing for an international group
- Direct experience in managing supplier relationships and driving continuous improvements programs
- Deep understanding of sourcing strategy process
- Has the required technical skills to understand and support the combined P&SM and R&D strategy
- Leadership, Communication, Purchasing Process, Supply Base management, Dynamism, Results orientated, Change management, Negotiation skills
