Intern: Engineering, Mechanical (Fall 2026)

What you will do

Main Tasks / Responsibilities / Authorities:

· Interpret engineering documentation and data to solve problems

· Create and update engineering documentation for design releases, including drawings, CAD models and wiring schematics

· Build and test prototype designs to prove out concepts

· Perform hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical systems on construction machinery

· Assist assignment leader with day-to-day activities

· Present completed work to team in design reviews

Who are you?

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:

  • Currently pursuing and enrolled in secondary education program and majoring in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Applicants must have completed 30 semester hours before the internship starts and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
  • Completion of 1 year of engineering schooling from an accredited university (Bachelors program), preferred
  • Fall interns can work up to 30 hours

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
