What you will do
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for supporting Quality, Sustainability, Cost, and Capacity (QSCC) objectives with our supply partners. You will support execution of commodity strategies for the Shippensburg site and collaborate across a global, cross-functional network to address purchasing challenges and improve supply chain performance. You will also be involved in:
- Supplier Delivery Precision analysis
- Support with critical supplier issues
- Direct Material costing support
- Supplier relationship support
- Research supplier invoice discrepancies versus VCE established pricing, document and take appropriate actions with the supplier and Commodity managers as required.
- Supplier relationship support
- Send out RFQ’s to approved suppliers
- Place production and prototype orders with approved suppliers
- Strategic Projects support

Who are you?
• You are a collaborative and results-oriented student with a strong interest in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Applicant must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field, and have completed at least 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
• Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
• Spring interns may work up to 30 hours per week
