Main Responsibilities

This role is pivotal in transforming the industrial landscape at the VCE Shippensburg facility. To be successful and have fun in this role we believe you’ll need:

  1.  Operational Maintenance support utilizing Professional Maintenance principles and tools and through coordination with stakeholders to minimize disruptions
  2.  Application of proper methods, tools, and execution to reduce equipment failure related losses and costs while increasing equipment reliability
  3.  Engagement in continuous improvement initiatives in different focus areas and equipment needs throughout the organization
  4.  Project Management to lead projects with precision, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and goal-aligned outcomes
  5.  Compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO)
  6.  Active contributions as a team player, supporting colleagues and promoting a collaborative environment
  7. Data and Root Cause Analysis  

Who are you?

Required knowledge, experience, education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including PLCs and automation systems is preferred
  • English fluency and strong communication skills

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $83,500 - $103,100, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered,  is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
