Regional Commodity Manager – Develop sourcing strategies for local, regional, and/or global sourcing of key components for best supply performance (including supplier Quality, Sustainability, Capacity and Cost (QSCC); Drive the Volvo Purchasing processes for supplier evaluation, selection, and monitoring for assigned commodities; Lead and mentor the Buyers in sourcing strategy deployment for the commodity area; Continuous Improvement implemented in our supplier score card; Take ownership to reduce and optimize the supplier base; Accountable for leading and managing the Regional Commodity meeting and secure the cross functional participation; Promote and secure the communication across the regions on the Commodity Strategy and Supplier Base; Lead commercial negotiations with key suppliers including implementation of full agreement packages; Achieve financial and operational KPI’s and recommend business and process improvements; Integrate stake holders in sourcing strategies and supplier management process; Promote and support the activities towards Responsible Purchasing; Actively support continuous improvement efforts within the organization. Requirements - Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in engineering, management, supply chain management or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or buying major commodities. Special skills – Experience with TQM, Lean and Six-Sigma management practices; Applying problem solving techniques including root cause analysis; Working with foreign currencies, customs, and duty rates, etc.; Global sources of supply and purchasing procedures. Travel to supplier work sites less than 50% of the time throughout the US as well as Europe, South America, Canada and Asia. Worksite location: 312 Volvo Way, Shippensburg, PA 17257.

For this position, the base salary range is set at $111,100 - $137,200, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered,  is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
