Core Responsibilities:

Material Handling: Receive, identify, store, and distribute a variety of raw materials, work-in-progress items, manufactured parts, and purchased assemblies. Stage materials for fabrication, additional processing, assembly, or direct shipment for replacement parts orders. 

Direction and Documentation: Follow instructions from the supervisor and work from computer-generated pick lists, stock transfer sheets, back-order sheets, and stock requisitions. 

Equipment Operation: Utilize powered lift trucks and various containers, pallet racks, and bins for the transfer, transport, and storage of materials, including different grades of steel plate, purchased parts, and subassemblies. 

Storage Management: Receive and store materials in designated yard areas or shelf/bin locations within the warehouse. Assign storage locations as needed, following established procedures, and verify material quantities and specifications.  

Order Fulfillment: Pick material orders according to system-generated picking lists, shop orders, or sales orders. Issue materials for part replacements, additional machining or fabrication, and assembly of company products. Document any shortages and forward the list to kit coordinators in the Material Supply Chain (MSC). Collect defective material notices from assembly for preparing replacement orders and submit them to Quality Control. 

Inventory Management: Record quantities of received and issued items on stock record cards in general stores. Generate requisitions for replenishment based on maximum/minimum inventory procedures. Identify and report defective materials, unusual conditions, and discrepancies in pulling lists to the appropriate supervisor. 

5S Practices: Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S practices. Service lift trucks with oil, gasoline, or propane as needed, and charge electric truck batteries at the end of each shift, completing the operator check-off sheet as required. 

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all prescribed safety regulations. 

Waste Stream Management: Oversee the management of waste streams, ensuring proper segregation, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. 

 

Qualifications: 

High School diploma/GED 

Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, pull 100 lbs, and push 35 lbs 

Must be able to walk short distances, stand for long periods of time, crouch/squat/kneel/bend/rotate, sit for short periods of time, and climb stairs 

Must demonstrate the ability to learn and navigate the SAP warehouse management system PRIOR TO interest submission  

Must successfully complete Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training and receive certification PRIOR TO interest submission

For this position, the base pay is set at $23.95 - $30.49/hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
