Role Purpose & Mission

As the Head Of Sales & Service Marine, South East Asia you are entrusted with the responsibility of driving results and overseeing marine sales and service operations within a South East Asia, Taiwan & Korea. Your primary focus lies in achieving sales targets, enhancing profitability and volume, for marine engines, parts sales and soft offer sales, Reporting directly to the Head of Marine Asia. You will play a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives through commercial and marketing plans. 
In this role, you serve as a key driver of sales growth, market share expansion and customer success for Volvo Penta Marine, leveraging your leadership skills and industry expertise to propel the marine engine sales forward. Through strategic planning, effective team management, and a relentless focus on results, you play a vital role in shaping the future success of the organization.h.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
•    Develop and implement commercial plans to drive sales growth, profitability, and market share within the assigned market/geographical area.
•    Collaborate with the Head of Marine to define and execute long-term business strategies for the marine segment, importer markets and specific sub-segment Marine Commercial, Leisure and Yacht

Sales and Service:
•    Lead the local marine sales and service team to achieve sales targets, expand market penetration and secure customer support
•    Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
•    Foster relationships with key clients, dealers, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
•    Develop and execute regional marketing strategies and activities to expand brand awareness and product knowledge.

Financial Performance:
•    Monitor financial and other performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess profitability and cash flow within the local marine sales organization.
•    Implement measures to optimize costs, improve margins, and optimize financial sales performance.
•    Utilize analytics and market intelligence and deep customer knowledge to produce accurate sales forecasts and sales estimates.
•    Develop and secure in-depth knowledge of customer operations, needs, and challenges. In order to safeguard order book reliability and robustness.

Team Management and Development:
•    Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the local Marine Sales & Service Team
•    Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•    Identify training and development needs to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
•    Delegate tasks and responsibilities as necessary within the marine sales & service team, ensuring effective coordination and support for administrative and financial functions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
•    Marine engine sales, marine parts sales & soft offer sales growth 
•    Profitability margins
•    Market share expansion
•    Key OEM satisfaction scores

 

Requirement

Skills & Competence: 
•    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
•    Proven track record of success in marine sales, business development, and leadership roles.
•    Strong understanding of the marine industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
•    Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through collaboration and innovation.
