What you will do

Job Summary

•    Act as the commercial interface with dealers
•    Distribute VCE products, parts & services through dealers in respective markets
•    Develop and grow VCE’s market share to achieve the target market position
•    Formulate channel strategies tailored to respective markets
•    Balance the objectives of dealers with VCE’s overall business goals 
•    Ensure the dealer do not carry conflicting Brand/Product against Volvo

 

Main Responsibilities

•    Develop and review sales plan & targets for respective markets, achieve quantitative and qualitative sales objectives 
•    Collaborate closely with the dealer ie sales management on all major contracts, dealer marketing and distribution management to ensure efficient service to customers etc, organize and manage sales activities with dealers 
•    Organize joint visits with Dealers to meet customers, build direct customer relationship especially for Key Accounts 
•    Engage in negotiations of major contractors, developing personal contacts with dealers/ major clients, while ensuring follow-up on significant projects in respective markets 
•    Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the respective market, including customers, competitors and products
•    Identify opportunities with dealer, review and propose segment development/growth strategies for product potential 
•    Champion and drive VCE’s business strategy and sales objectives, and manage the multiple product lines for VCE
•    Ensure price management, gross profits, market share, participation rates
•    Oversee dealer development functions including distribution strategy, dealer appointment, development initiatives, PMt & PMp (PDP program), manpower quality, financial health, and implement plans to manage non-performing dealer.
•    Manage dealers conflict in market where there is more than one dealer

•    Work within approved budgets and approval levels as set in DAG, implement of Sales Pricing as per guidelines

 

Accountability

•    Machine and after sales revenue & gross margin in the country
•    Machine Market share in the country
•    Dealer Machine Inventory management
•    PMt & PMp (PDP- Partnership Development Program) 
•    Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSS)

 

Forums

External - dealer management in markets, dealer managers in Sales and Aftermarket, Local industry associations 

Internal - Uptime & Service Managers, Product Managers, Finance & Control, Order fulfilment

 

Required knowledge & experience

•    Education/Professional Qualification - University graduate or higher
•    7 to 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, business managment, product planning, service & parts within the construction equipment or related industries.
•    Commitment and experience in developing best practice in customer focused, process-based organizations
•    Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Good level of Chinese will be an added advantage 
•    Willing to travel extensively
•    Computer skills such powerpoint, word, excel, etc
•    Good communication skills
•    Assertive & high level of influencing skills
•    Leadership skills 
•    Customer orientation 
•    Commercial focus with good business acumen
