What you will do

Job Summary

•    The Parts Marketing Manager is the interface between the markets in Region ASIA and Centre of Excellence (CoE) – Parts & Logistics 
•    Parts Marketing Manager implements the global parts concepts, when needed with agreed local adaptation 
•    The person scans the market in search for new ideas to increase profit and creates regional promotions & act as a brand ambassador 
•    The person shall have close interaction with global parts management under CoE – Parts & Logistics, other Parts Marketing Team in other Regions and Head of Uptime & Parts / Parts Commercial Managers in Market Areas 
•    To do Market & Business development on Parts Portfolio assigned 

 


Main Responsibilities

 

Tasked to:
•    Roll out of global parts concepts in market areas, when needed with agreed local adaptations. Develop a regional launch package. Measuring and reporting results 
•    Scan the markets to identify areas of growth, customer segments or product ideas and feeding these back to Region Asia and CoE – Parts & Logistics 
•    Develop and implement regional promotions and offers to support profitable growth, including coordination with suppliers 
•    Develop and execute annual marketing plan 
•    Support and give input to price positioning of competitive parts portfolio

 

Responsible for:
•    Turnover and gross margins of the assigned parts portfolio. 
•    Reporting and analysis of parts offerings in strongly competitive segments. Draw conclusions and develop profitable actions 

 

Authorized to:
•    Work within the approved budgets 
•    Prepare negotiations with suppliers

•    Volvo CE dealers and customers 
•    Suppliers 

Internal:
•    Global: Centre of Excellence (CoE) – Parts & Logistics especially parts management 
•    Region : Uptime & Parts Team in Asia and Other Regions
•    Market Areas: Head of Uptime & Parts / Parts Commercial Managers
•    Others : Volvo CE Aftermarket Purchasing / Volvo Group Purchasing  

 


Required knowledge & experience

 

Education/ Professional Qualifications:
•    Post graduate in Marketing accompanied by a firm understanding of engineering/technology through study or experience OR 
•    Post graduate in Science, engineering, technology accompanied by a firm understanding of marketing and sales through study or experience 
•    3 years of experience in product/parts management 
•    3 years of experience in CE industry (preferred) 
•    Commercial & Entrepreneurial spirit

•    Hands on approach, capable of quickly switching between strategic thinking and operational work

•    Fluent in English
