We are now looking for a Manufacturing Technology Manager (MTM) for Bonding & Welding Technologies to join our Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering team.

Your Impact
As a Manufacturing Technology Manager, you will lead the development of Bonding & Welding Technologies to keep our manufacturing processes at the forefront of innovation.
You will define and execute technology strategies based on business needs, drive global networks of specialists, and collaborate across functions to deliver optimal manufacturing solutions.
- Develop and implement the technology roadmap for bonding & welding processes.
- Lead global expert networks to coordinate knowledge sharing and technology advancements across sites.
- Drive process innovation by identifying future needs and leading projects to achieve manufacturing readiness.
- Secure the right competencies and resources for new technology introduction.
- Collaborate with Production, Product Development, and external partners to create cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
- Represent Volvo in external partnerships and industry forums to stay at the cutting edge of manufacturing technology.
- Manage budgets and research expenses, ensuring efficient technology development and implementation.

Your Profile
The networking part of the role as MTM is crucial for success and therefore we think that leaderships skills and the ability to create relations with all levels in the organization is important parts of your background.
We are looking for a passionate, curious, and self-driven person that can move between the big picture, down to details and back again. Your analytical capability is well developed.
We are a truly global team with colleagues all over the world, so it is important for us that you feel comfortable speaking English and have the willingness and possibility to travel to be inspired and get the chance to meet the global networks face to face.
Your academic background is BSc/MSc in Engineering or equivalent work experience. You have a background in welding and bonding technologies, with hands-on experience in laser welding, adhesive bonding, and process optimization.
