Accountabilities:
• Prepares, maintains control, and is responsible for accounting records involving a variety of transactions and accounts
• Booking and reviewing different accounting operations
• Reviews accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and makes or directs correcting entries
• Participates in preparation of different financial reports, tax and statistical reports in line with deadlines required by legislation and authorities
• Organization of re-invoicing expenses to other group companies
• Responsible for communication with local tax authorities
• Actively participates in the company audits performed by external and internal auditors and by tax authorities
• Ensure accurately and timely preparation of monthly trial balance and general ledger, as well as periodic financial statements.
• Preparation of interim and annual closing of accounts
• Involved in monthly and quarterly internal Volvo Group closing activities and tasks
• Participates in the implementation of company ERP/CRM/financial/reporting/accounting software and gives suggestions for improvements
• The successful candidate will also be able to support the Chief accountant in various tasks
Profile & Background:
• University degree, preferably in Economics/Finance/Accounting
• Profound knowledge of accounting, tax and reporting legislation
• Profound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
• 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting / External audit / Internal control
• Working knowledge of IT applications for administration and business
• Analytical, self-organized, a team player, with customer focus
• A good command of English is required
