What you will do
This is the perfect role for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Auto-Electrician to transition from a 100% hands-on role to more of a hybrid role – a customer focused technical role with some hands-on support. You will:
- Partner with customers and the Volvo Bus dealer network (including Truck Centre WA) to provide in-field support and technical assistance across the Perth and WA region
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and technical expertise, including our new electric bus technologies
- Support the Volvo Bus team with quality reporting and inspection of body units
- Complete assessments of warranty claims
- Provide in field mechanic or auto-electrical assistance when needed
- Monitor dealer technical reporting systems

Volvo Bus Australia are a team of 23, geographically dispersed across QLD, VIC and WA. You will report to the Contract and Technical Support Manager and work alongside one other Field Service Engineer.
Who are you?

- A Heavy Vehicle Mechanical or Auto-Electrician qualification
- Proven experience working with buses and/or trucks
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in your communication style
- A focus on providing positive customer service experiences
- A strong passion for the automotive industry
