As CFO you are part of a commercial team that drives business performance in order to realize the objectives of Volvo Trucks Denmark. In cooperation with colleagues in different parts of the organization we enable change; we do this by steering the organization towards the most profitable long and short term decisions. The CFO role is key not only to target fulfillment but also to balance financial performance with sound commercial risk management.

Scope:
The position holder is a member of the Volvo Truck Executive Management Team in Denmark. The role reports to the MD of Volvo Trucks Danmark.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide accurate performance analysis
  • Contribute to the strategic and business decisions to secure the financial impact of the activities.
  • Challenge and coach operations to reach the targets
  • Take an active role in the governance of the market such as Business Review Meetings or legal boards
  • Take active part in the development of new business strategies, segments and establishments
  • Credit, cash and capital management
  • Ensure analysis of commercial risks and opportunities such as residual values and service contracts
  • Review and manage Investments
  • Internal control processes and the implementation of Authorization rules and the VT Business manual
  • Take a consolidated role in the form of the Company Law & Order function for the legal entity including local compliance, Country Management Team etc.
  • Lead and develop a team of 5 highly skilled and committed colleagues in business control and IT

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and assertive candidate who enjoys working in and leading a team within a demanding environment. You can manage challenging situations in a constructive way and set limits when it is required. You communicate openly and effectively and have the ability to adapt to new and changing demands whilst seeking improvements.
Volvo Truck leadership is strongly connected to the Volvo Group Leadership principles. The position holder works as an inspiring and inclusive leader as well as an active team worker. She or he also demonstrates ability to set demanding targets and coaching individuals to deliver outside their comfort zones.

 

  • 5+ years of relevant work and leadership experience
  • Master or Bachelor degree in Finance Administration and/or Business Administration or similar
  • Good understanding of the retail business and preferably commercial vehicles
  • Able to challenge existing standards, even if meeting resistance
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross functional with people on all levels
  • Collaborative with strong networking skills
  • Customer oriented
  • Ability to work simultaneously with a wide range of tasks in a structured manner and deliver according to promise
