Purchasing Trainee

Job Purpose : Perform support purchasing activities within the scope of SDI Purchasing to optimize QDCFTSR within a decided area of responsibility. QDCFTSR: Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management. The SDI Trainee assists SDI Buyers in all daily purchasing activities in her/his segment in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.

 

REQUIRED

  • Education: Recent graduates in administrative or related fields.
  • Language: Advanced English
  • Software: Intermediate Office suite

 Main Responsibilities

  • Support Segment sourcing activities/negotiations to ensure the performance of the Segment
  • Contribute to Local Segment sourcing activities/negotiations
  • Perform Local Segment sourcing activities according to decided SBP
  • Secure Suppliers understand and comply with Volvo requirements and procedures
  • Perform daily operational purchasing activities
  • Drive Local Stakeholder network
  • Support in supplier interactions and attend in applicable cross-functional teams
  • Assist in negotiating cost impacts, ensuring alignment to cost objectives, amending existing price agreements, and if applicable, initiating re-sourcing activities
  • Assist in negotiating and ensuring signature and storage of relevant agreements
  • Assist in implementing price updates and conditions based on existing contracts and negotiations
