At Volvo Buses in Uddevalla, we combine a proud welding heritage from the shipbuilding industry with the craftsmanship, precision, and quality mindset built through decades of local car manufacturing. Together with our dedicated colleagues, we produce frames and structures of the highest quality for world-class buses.
Our plant has around 130 highly engaged coworkers and is the first step in the supply chain for bus chassis production. We weld bus frames, cross members, and other welded parts, mainly for Volvo Buses and also for other parts of the Volvo Group. We manufacture approximately 2000 to 3000 bus frames annually.
What you will do
In this role, you will be the on-site finance partner at our welding plant, responsible for financial planning, business control, investment planning, and accurate, reliable financial reporting. You will support and guide analysis and follow-up of monthly and yearly results, ensuring clear and accessible decision support for plant management, and you will participate actively in the plant management team.You will be responsible for the investment planning and investment decision process, ensuring the plant works in line with internal decision limits. You will coordinate the yearly Standard Cost of Sales process, develop and maintain financial performance measurements, and follow up product cost connected to new products. You will also contribute to investment dialogues and support both large and small initiatives, including process development and continuous improvement work.
As the only Business Controller on site, you will create strong relationships and effective ways of working with the Volvo Buses business control network in Borås and Gothenburg. In addition to leading Business Control at the Uddevalla plant, you will also participate and lead other projects that are important to our strategic development.
Your future team
You will be our on-site Business Controller and a key member of the plant management group, working closely with the Plant Manager and collaborating with the wider finance and business control network within Volvo Buses. On site, you will also work closely with our two financial accountants handling day-to-day activities such as bookkeeping and supporting regulatory compliance.

Essential requirements
- Previous experience from an industrial business control position within a manufacturing environment
- Strong capability in financial planning and business control, including analysis of monthly and yearly results
- Proven ability to work independently with a structured, thorough approach and to manage changing workloads
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across sites
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Nice to have
- Experience owning investment planning and the investment decision process
- Experience working with internal decision limits and financial governance
- Experience coordinating the yearly Standard Cost of Sales process and product cost follow-up for new products
- Proficiency in standard management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Hyperion)
