What you will do
The main purpose of the role: To Assemble heavy duty Trucks in line with the Volvo Production System Standards.
Reports to: Production Team Leader.
Job Objectives:
- Assemble vehicles and vehicle sub-components in line with plant SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) Targets and according to sprint instructions.
- Perform other related responsibilities and carry out 5s (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and housekeeping responsibilities.
- To ensure that all the tooling and equipment is well maintained.
- Ensure that all SOPs (standard operating procedures) and Safety regulations are well adhered to and immediately report deviations to superior.
- Participate and contribute to all other Production related activities i.e. Kaizen and Gemba events.

- Grade 12 with Passes in Mathematics and Science.
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience from a similar work environment.

- Should be technically minded and practical.
