Mandatory skills and competencies needed (5 years+ experience in this domains):
- Specialization in computer vision with expertise in data science, machine learning, and deep learning.
- In-depth knowledge of computer vision deep learning algorithms, techniques, frameworks, and tools.
- Experience implementing cutting-edge techniques in image classification, object detection, semantic segmentation, sequence modeling, and key-point detection.
- Proficiency in CV tools such as OpenCV, Scikit-Image, and PIL/Pillow, along with deep learning frameworks/libraries such as Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
- Demonstrated experience deploying computer vision applications in production environments.
- Experience implementing computer vision solutions for edge-based systems, including configuring edge devices for production use cases.
- Expertise in integrating analog and IP cameras with edge-based computer vision solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Azure service pipelines for image ingestion, data persistence, preprocessing, model training/re-training, monitoring, and visualization.
- Strong Python programming skills, including experience with data analysis and machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, Scipy, Numpy, and Pandas.
Good to have skills are as following:
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of Nvidia Boards will be a plus
- Familiarity with other cloud technologies for computer vision will be a plus (AWS computer vision services)
What you will do
At Volvo Group Digital & IT you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.
As a computer vision expert, your primary responsibility is to analyse and understand business colleagues’ problems, converting these insights into AI/ML-driven products.
You engage with diverse stakeholders to develop and industrialize solutions for various business use-cases with the aim to leverage the Volvo Group Data platform for large scale Computer Vision.
Collaborating closely with Digital & IT, and industrial operational teams, you ensure that solutions integrate seamlessly within the larger ecosystem.
You identify the best algorithms to solve specific use cases and visualize data to extract valuable insights. Prototyping algorithms using Python and other relevant languages, you leverage appropriate libraries and frameworks.
While supporting backend Python development for system integrations and data pipelines, your focus remains on delivering end-to-end solutions.
Additionally, you continuously research to stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science, contributing to organizational activities in these areas.
