What you will do

Within the France Customs department, hosted by Renault Trucks in Lyon, you will secure and optimize customs operations across Volvo entities in France, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with current regulations. You will:

    • Assess the compliance level of operational functions to secure customs operations
    • Identify opportunities to optimize flows and implement the right customs solutions
    • Carry out process assessments and propose improvements
    • Identify, document and escalate potential risks; make recommendations and implement corrective and preventive actions
    • Contribute to building the France roadmap
    • Leverage customs, logistics and financial data to identify anomalies, measure performance and propose optimization actions
    • Take part in projects, or lead initiatives, related to new customs regulations or new digital tools

 

Your future team

You will join the France Customs department, hosted by Renault Trucks in Lyon. Renault Trucks holds Authorised Economic Operator and Approved Exporter status, as well as DCN and NCTS authorizations: an expert team, recognized for its high standards and its commitment to continuously improving the Group's customs practices.

 

Who are you?

We're looking, above all, for someone rigorous, curious, and driven to help advance customs practices. Does most of this sound like you?

    • A degree in Customs, International Trade, or an equivalent field
    • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
    • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade
    • Good command of Excel, with a genuine interest in digitalization and process automation
    • Excellent communication skills, in both French and English

 

These would be a plus, though not required:

    • Additional experience in taxation
    • Familiarity with Power Query, Power BI, DELTAPASS or RITA
    • A strong ability to build and maintain a network, both internally and externally
    • A continuous-improvement mindset
