Your future team

The Chapter Java within our Digital & IT community is seeking a talented Java Software Engineer (M/F) to join our highly committed, collaborative, and agile team. You'll play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of a critical product for Renault Trucks: our New trucks order taking tool.

 

This essential application is utilized by over 2,000 users, including dealerships across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, as well as our technical and commercial functions at Renault Trucks' headquarters. For instance, the tool streamlines technical adaptation workflows and facilitates financial negotiations related to vehicle sales. Your primary focus will be on evolving the user interface for our dealerships and sales representatives, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Your mission, if you accept it

As a Java Software Engineer, you will:

  • Develop high-quality solutions: Implement new features and corrections for the product, adhering to team and Product Owner acceptance criteria.
  • Champion code quality: Ensure robust code that minimizes vulnerabilities and prevents technical and functional regressions.
  • Respond swiftly to critical incidents: Act quickly to restore service for critical product incidents within defined SLAs.
  • Engage with users: Collaborate directly with users to gather their needs and integrate their feedback into product development.
  • Drive technological innovation: Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and proactively propose changes to prevent technical debt.
  • Actively contribute to agile ceremonies: Participate fully in all agile rituals, proposing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster team success: Contribute to a positive team environment, enhancing cohesion and collaboration.
  • Share knowledge and expertise: Within the Software Engineer Chapter, share your insights and experiences with your peers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Who are you ?

We're looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer with:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science and at least 5 years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
  • Proven experience with application servers such as IBM WebSphere or JBoss.
  • Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and tools, including Azure DevOps, SonarQube, and Fortify.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database modeling, particularly with PostgreSQL or Oracle.
  • Fluency in English is essential for daily discussions with international team members and users.
  • Familiarity with Openshift and Docker platforms is a strong plus.
