Volvo Group Digital Quality & Operations (DQ&Ops) empowers every digital delivery team to operate efficiently, ensuring top-notch digital quality, security, and processes. The function is at the forefront of driving lean transformation, agile delivery, and operational excellence across the Volvo Group.
Context & Objective
As Volvo transitions to a multi-supplier IT operating model, the Service Integration Function is being established to govern and oversee the performance of our primary service integrator, HCL, and ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery across all IT domains. This function is critical for maintaining Volvo’s standards, compliance, and business value in a complex, outsourced environment.
Within the Service Integration Function, the Compliance, Continuity & IT Risk Management team manages a set of IT processes to guarantee the adherence of Services to IT Policies and Directives.

Role Mission
The Service Leader – IT Policy Exception Process will report to the Service Area Manager of the Compliance, Continuity & Risk Management team. This role is responsible for the overall IT Policy Exception Process, setting up Governance and directions being a key interface between Volvo and HCL. This role ensures that HCL our service integrator, delivers according to contractual commitments, operational excellence standards and Volvo’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the service integration governance strategy for the IT Policy Exception process, ensuring alignment with Volvo Group’s digital and operational objectives.
- Govern and optimize the delivery by HCL, ensuring adherence to the service integration framework, contract terms, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and security requirements, supporting audits and quality assessments.
- Drive process harmonization, automation, and innovation within the IT Policy Exception process.
- Establish and implement connections with the other IT Processes managed within the Compliance, Continuity & IT Risk Management team and the Service Integration department
Who are you?
Required Competencies and Experience
• University/Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in working with IT process management
• Strong knowledge of ITSM/ITIL processes and frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse, multi-cultural teams both within Volvo and HCL.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Complete proficiency in English.

• Ability to drive for results.
• Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Business-focused leadership style, with a commitment to fairness and continuous development.
