What you will do

At TTI Cab over Truck Purchasing Australia you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. 

 

As a Commodity Buyer, you will be accountable for the QDCFTSR of suppliers within specific segments. Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in improved supply chain performance, enhanced product quality, innovative technology, and maximum value
  • Lead the supplier selection process in Projects and ensure that the supplier is prepared for production
  • Drive negotiations and execute contracts with suppliers within segments
  • Monitor market and technology developments in respective commodity and address changes through the strategies, contribute to segments business plan & be an active member in the global network of commodity buyers
  • Collaborate with other members of the global supply chain to successfully develop and execute global supply chain and technology strategies
  • Drive all relevant activities to deliver on Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management targets.
  • Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supplier Quality & Development (SQ&D) team
  • Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics, and financial flows to the suppliers

 

Your future team

In this position you will be part of the Automotive Purchasing team and report to the Automotive Purchasing Manager. We are a small, agile & diverse team of Buyers and Supplier Quality Engineers. With the support of a strong global organisation, we strive to get the best out of our local suppliers to ensure we build the best trucks in the country. We focus on quality, delivery, cost, features, technology, sustainability and risk management (QDCFTSR). We develop the relationship with our suppliers for us to be their number one partner of choice.

Who are you?

  • Previous experience identifying, engaging and managing suppliers within the Truck Industry
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or equivalent
  • Business acumen, agile in your way of working
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team towards a common purpose
  • Experience in managing suppliers, within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • You are a strong and flexible team player, eager to learn and improve
  • You have a can-do approach: you have a positive mindset, high level of energy, and you are ready to tackle challenges
  • You like to do business; you demonstrate superior communication skills and you are comfortable in cross-functional and multi-cultural set-up
  • You enjoy managing many parallel activities and you have a target-oriented approach
