What you will do

As a Data & Insights Analyst, you will transform complex enterprise data into clear, trusted insights that support operational performance, commercial outcomes, and executive decision‑making across Volvo Group Australia.

You will work across multiple business areas, combining strong data foundations with compelling insight delivery. This role offers a high level of autonomy and visibility, partnering closely with stakeholders to improve analytics capability and embed a more forward‑thinking, data‑driven culture.

 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Analyse and interpret large, complex datasets from multiple enterprise systems to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (primarily Power BI)
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and business‑aligned reporting for operational teams, management, and senior leadership
  • Tailor insights and data visualisations to suit different stakeholder audiences and decision‑making contexts
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, define analytical problems, and prioritise work
  • Maintain strong standards of data accuracy, consistency, governance, and information integrity
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve analytical processes
  • Contribute to the ongoing uplift of analytics tools, methods, and best practices
  • Ensure all analysis and reporting complies with data governance, privacy, and security standards.

Your future team

Reporting to the Data and Digital Solutions Manager, you will join a collaborative team of 11 professionals, made up of Data Analysts, Software Engineers, Master Data Specialists and a Power Platforms Specialist. The team is inclusive and supportive of each other, led by an energetic and good-humoured manager. This role will be based in our Wacol head office full time.

Who are you?

  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline along with relevant professional certifications (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Azure, Data Analytics certifications)
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytics role
  • Advanced experience in Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools
  • Strong capability in SQL or equivalent query language
  • Strong database management and data handling skills, with a solid understanding of data quality, data governance, and information integrity
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain reports that deliver clear, accurate, and actionable insights
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Confidence in engaging with and supporting a diverse range of stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
