E-Mobility Solutions Specialist

What you will do

As an Electro-Mobility Specialist, you will support the operational execution of electro-mobility solutions in Australia, focusing on the heavy truck market. Your expertise will help inform product requirements, customer support, sales acquisitions and stakeholder engagement. This role will engage with customers directly to promote and sell e-mobility solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of electro-mobility strategies tailored to the Australian heavy truck market.
  • Contribute to the go-to-market strategy for electro-mobility sales through stakeholder engagement and market research.
  • Prospecting new customers to purchase Volvo’s e-mobility solutions, while also enabling national fleet and the dealer network to sell e-mobility solutions through providing coaching, expertise and training to upskill and align to the overall e-mobility strategy
  • Gather insights on government initiatives related to CO2 reduction and grants, providing recommendations for their impact on the transport sector.
  • Help identify emerging product requirements to better serve customer needs and enhance market competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with the central e-mobility team to support the formulation of market offerings and partnership structures.
  • Engage with customers directly to gain new business and build our market positioning in E-Mobility solutions, working with New Vehicle Sales and Aftersales to propose and develop comprehensive product offerings in response to customer needs.
  • Prepare cost estimates and ensure the timely delivery of components and installation instructions in accordance with market requirements.
  • Assess and optimize customer logistics and transport routes for operational efficiency.
  • Support the production and verification of specifications for new build orders by coordinating with technical support and sales teams.
  • Stay informed on industry developments by attending workshops and engaging with professional organizations.
  • Provide technical assistance to bodybuilders and ensure alignment with their specifications and instructions.
  • Collect and analyse feedback on chassis issues from delivery to bodybuilders, aiding in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Conduct training for sales teams to enhance their understanding of our electro-mobility product range.
  • Monitor compliance with local regulations, anticipating legislative changes that affect market products.
  • Participate in specific projects and represent Volvo Group at events as needed, upholding Volvo Group Australia's standards for health, safety, quality, and environmental care.
  • Work cross-functionally leveraging the knowledge and support available in all areas of Volvo Trucks and external partners to ensure high levels of dialogue, exchange of information and coordination between Service, Sales, Product, Business Control and Support teams on an ongoing basis and as required.

  • Electro mobility competence will be an advantage
  • Exposure to electrical infrastructure (energy supply) an advantage
  • Corporate and government affairs experience an advantage
  • Negotiation skills desired
  • Personal drive & learning agility essential
