We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Volvo Group’s Wacol Plant. This dynamic and strategic role supports the business by building strong partnerships with leaders and driving HR initiatives that align with operational goals. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, change agent, and coach to managers across various functions, contributing to a high-performance and inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Align HR activities with business goals and strategies
- Coach and support leaders through change, growth, and transformation initiatives
- Contribute to the design and execution of HR strategic plans
- Lead the rollout of key HR processes including performance, engagement, and talent development
Employee & Industrial Relations
- Conduct workplace investigations, manage outcomes, and support disciplinary processes
- Promote positive employee relations and manage union interactions in line with local labour legislation
- Apply knowledge of employment law and industrial relations to coach managers through complex issues
Talent, Recruitment & Capability
- Drive leadership and talent development, succession planning, and workforce capability
- Support recruitment activities and ensure alignment with employer branding and diversity goals
- Maintain and manage HRIS systems and recruitment trackers
Organisational Development & Wellbeing
- Partner with leaders to implement change management and organisational development initiatives
- Promote a culture of inclusion, safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement
- Support and lead health and safety initiatives across the plant
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with relevant HR policies, WHS regulations, and ISO standards
- Manage HR risks and contribute to a culture of accountability and safety
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or generalist role
- Strong knowledge of industrial relations and workplace legislation
- Experience with coaching, facilitation, and organisational development
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work across both Day and Afternoon shifts as needed
Desirable:
- Experience working in a unionised, manufacturing or logistics environment
- Previous exposure to a matrix or global organisation structure
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and data management tools
- Experience in workforce planning and strategic talent reviews
