About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern with AutoCAD experience to support our engineering team in updating and creating manufacturing plant layouts for heavy-duty truck production. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in industrial engineering, factory design, and real-world manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update existing factory layout drawings using AutoCAD
  • Develop new layout designs for production lines, equipment, and workflow optimization
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical data
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure layout accuracy
  • Maintain organized drawing files and revision records
  • Assist with space utilization and process improvement projects

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes is desirable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or academic project involving plant layouts or production systems
  • Familiarity with heavy industry, machinery, or automotive manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or workflow optimization concepts
