What you will do
- Support Design and development of logistics processes and flows – with understanding of E2E logistics Supply Chain
- Gain understanding and knowledge of the Logistics IT systems and work towards synchronize Physical Material flows in the Warehouse with Information flow
- Support Design and build Material Handling Equipment for material movement
- Support performing capacity planning for all required resources such as manning, equipment, warehouse area and timing for projects.
- Work with team to troubleshooting and performing RCA’s and documenting issues
- Work with team to Identify and implement KAIZEN’s, Promote and implement VPS principles
- Perform audits from time to time to ensure processes are being adhered
- Ensure compliance with VGA’s Environmental Policy and Workplace Health & Safety policies and practices
- Promote a safety conscious way of working
- Promote and implement VPS principles and the Volvo Operations Concept guidelines
- Actively participate in the rollout of Logistics 7 steps within focus improvement areas
Who are you?
- Degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
- Preferred but not mandatory work experience (1-2 years) in a supply chain or logistics where you have demonstrated your expertise in project management
- Experience with business case development
- Solid knowledge in Microsoft Office suite and Business Analytical tools
- Understanding of ERP systems and WMS will be a plus
- An overall understanding of production and supply chain processes
- Excellent negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to positively influence others
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and multi-cultural communication skills
- Continuous improvement and quality mindset
- A Team Player and proactive approach to teamwork
- Ability to deal with, and be supportive of colleagues/customers across all levels of the organisation
