What you will do
The National Facilities Manager is responsible for driving work within facility management, property projects and overseeing service suppliers. As the majority of our facilities are manufacturing and industrial focused, this role is a technically focused position.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Continuous development, improvement and implementation of a clear Facilities Management strategy across multiple facilities in NSW and QLD
- Responsible for ensuring maintenance of our properties through their life-cycle
- Acting as the key contact for our external Facilities Management services supplier and evaluating performance
- Being responsible for the Facility Management budget and costs, including follow-up and reporting in designated systems and actively working to optimize facility costs
- Leading major long-term maintenance and installations replacement projects nationally, using internal and external resources across all facilities
- Developing and implementing sustainability initiatives to reduce costs including solar and EV installations
- Working closely with our global teams and networks, contributing to improved processes and ways of working.
Your future team
Volvo Group Real Estate are responsible for all infrastructure of Volvo Group’s owned and leased sites nationally. Reporting to the Director of Real Estate Australia, you will be part of a team of 4, also working alongside a Property Manager and Property Coordinator. Volvo Group Real Estate currently work across 19 sites spread across Australia, that are a mix of commercial, industrial and manufacturing sites.

Who are you?

- Extensive experience working in a Facility Management role
- Experience working with industrial and manufacturing facilities
- Experience within an internal corporate property management team or an external property service supplier will be highly regarded
- A consultative approach to stakeholder management
- Sound financial knowledge focusing on adding business value
- Strong knowledge of material and methods for Facility Management services
- Property project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
