What you will do
Are you passionate about HR and eager to gain hands-on experience in a global business environment? Join our team at our production facility in Wacol as a PC Coordinator Intern, supporting Group Trucks Operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with People & Culture (P&C) Business Partners and contribute to enhancing workplace culture and talent management initiatives.
As an HR Intern, you'll be involved in a wide range of activities that will allow you to build essential HR skills and grow your career in a fast-paced, global setting.
Key responsibilities:
• HR Administration Support: Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the department, providing general HR administrative support.
• Recruitment Support: Help with the Blue Collar labour hire recruitment process.
• Labour Hire Systems Management: Administer and update the Wacol Labour Hire systems to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage various stages of the employee lifecycle, from contract drafting and onboarding to salary reviews and terminations.
• HRIS System Support: Assist in resolving HRIS system issues by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Award & Policy Compliance: Interpret Award and EBA documents, ensuring wage payments comply with applicable agreements and company policies.
• HR Telephone Support: Provide first-line HR support by answering calls and assisting with queries, or redirecting to HR Business Partners when necessary
• HRBP Support: Assist HR Business Partners with various tasks, ensuring a smooth flow of operations.
Who are you?
We’re looking for a candidate who is ideally a recent graduate or in their third year of study:
• Bachelor’s degree or currently studying HR, Business, or a related field.
• Full-time presence in the Wacol office (valid driver’s license and car required).
• Maturity and a customer-service mindset, with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
• Strong process improvement mindset with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools.
• Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
• Clear communicator with excellent attention to detail and a strong team player.
