What you will do
You are a practical and confident engineering leader who can balance the immediate demands of a production environment with the discipline needed to deliver complex projects.You are comfortable working across multiple functions, influencing stakeholders and developing people. You bring strong technical judgement, a structured approach to problem solving and a genuine commitment to safe, high-quality and efficient manufacturing operations.To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least three years of experience in people leadership or management.
- Experience in production engineering, process engineering, industrialisation, new product introduction or manufacturing transformation.
- Experience supporting daily production operations in automotive, heavy vehicle, complex assembly or a comparable manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, technical specialists or cross-functional project teams.
- Experience with assembly-line design, line balancing, tooling, equipment, ergonomics, process validation and quality control.
- Strong Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement capability.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and corrective-action management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong project-management, planning and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of DVP and PSM project models. Knowledge of VPS and VOC is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project, or equivalent planning tools.
