What you will do

  • Observe and support quality inspection processes across production areas.
  • Learn how to identify Critical Characteristics (CC) and Special Characteristics (SC) in manufacturing.
  • Assist with torque verification, deviation management, and basic root cause analysis.
  • Participate in product audit reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Support preparation of visual management boards and quality communication materials.
  • Conduct small improvement studies under supervision (data reliability, process standardization).
  • Develop basic understanding of Volvo truck assembly processes.
  • Gain familiarity with key components, major assemblies, and quality checkpoints.
  • Support line inspectors and engineers in performing checks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing quality performance data (FF1, DPV, Product Audit results).
  • Participate in Quick Kaizen and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to SOP updates and documentation reviews.

Who are you?

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles preferred.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Power BI desirable).
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
