As Regional Commercial Manager- UD Trucks, you’ll play a critical role in enabling the success of our dealer network by championing our Total Solutions approach and driving commercial performance across truck sales, service contracts, transport systems, and financial solutions.

You’ll work hands-on with Dealer Sales Managers and sales teams, providing strategic and operational support to maximise sales volumes, margin, and customer satisfaction in your assigned region.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the execution of the Total Solutions approach across truck sales, contracts, and digital services in your assigned dealers.
  • Set and track dealer targets including market share, segment penetration, finance, and service contracts.
  • Coach and mentor dealer sales staff and managers — in the field, with real customers, driving real results.
  • Support and reinforce best practice sales processes including Insight Driven Sales and pipeline management.
  • Oversee pricing approvals and monitor pricing discipline to ensure consistent realisation across dealerships.
  • Drive dealer performance through regular reviews, coaching, and joint business planning.
  • Track and improve market share by postcode and segment, using insights to inform action plans.
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales Engineering to ensure front-line dealer staff are up to date on product developments.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to shape and support localised dealer marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Represent VGA at local industry events, field days, and customer functions.
  • Embed continuous improvement across the sales process from onboarding new dealers to strengthening CRM usage and reporting accuracy.
  • Support the roll-out of VGA Sales Academy, ensuring dealer capability aligns with national standards.

  • An experienced commercial leader with strong customer focus and dealer-facing expertise.
  • Proven experience in the transport or heavy vehicle industry, ideally in a regional or state sales leadership role.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills able to lead through influence and support.
  • Confident in navigating performance conversations and setting clear action plans for improvement.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, inventory management, pricing strategies and CRM tools.
  • Skilled at building long-term relationships across stakeholder groups including dealer principals, sales teams, and internal departments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, sales or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of representing VGA at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance reports and act on insights.
  • Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools in a fast-paced environment.
