What you will do

We are looking for a Regional Technical Manager to join our Services & Retail Development team. This critical role is responsible for delivering exceptional technical support and service outcomes across a designated region, acting as the bridge between Volvo Group Australia, our dealer network and our customers.

You will be the technical expert and trusted advisor within your region, supporting dealer performance, resolving technical and quality concerns, and helping customers maximise uptime and productivity. This is an opportunity to combine your technical expertise with customer relationship management, strategic problem-solving and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical and quality support to customers and dealers within your region
  • Leading the management of Dealer Quality Reports (DQRs) and driving resolution outcomes
  • Supporting dealers with complex technical, warranty and service agreement matters
  • Building strong relationships with fleet customers through regular site visits
  • Partnering with dealers to improve service performance and customer satisfaction
  • Managing technical and commercial goodwill cases
  • Supporting breakdown assistance and product support activities across the region
  • Auditing warranty and service agreement claims and ensuring adherence to processes
  • Working closely with Product Support and Commercial teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Developing action plans based on customer feedback and identified improvement opportunities
  • Resolving customer concerns and supporting positive dealer-customer relationships

Who are you?

  • Trade qualification in the automotive, heavy vehicle or related industry highly regarded
  • Extensive experience within heavy vehicle technical operations, product support, service or engineering environments
  • Strong understanding of Volvo, Mack or heavy vehicle service operations will be highly regarded
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service outcomes
  • Proven ability to investigate issues, solve problems and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across multiple teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and retail service systems
  • Leadership capability and the confidence to influence outcomes without direct authority
