Who You Are
You have experience working with modern diesel engines, electric drive systems, and control systems, and you’re always eager to embrace new technologies. Your background includes a Degree in Engineering, giving you a strong theoretical foundation that you can apply practically in industrial applications. You are customer-focused, dedicated to building strong relationships and exceeding expectations. As a self-starter, you excel at taking initiative, working independently, and driving projects forward with confidence.

Who You’ll Work With
At Volvo Penta, you’ll collaborate with OEMs, dealers, and end users, ensuring that our power solutions meet their needs and expectations. You’ll work closely with sales teams, engineering divisions, and our headquarters in Gothenburg, representing Volvo Penta as a technical expert.
Beyond your technical expertise, you’re a strong communicator who can engage with customers, OEMs, and internal teams to deliver solutions that make a real impact. The opportunity to join a professional engineering institute or society in line role within the company
Role and Responsibilities
- Visit key OEMs to provide technical support, advice, and perform installation testing and certifications for Volvo Penta products.
- Collaborate with sub-manufacturers and governmental bodies regarding equipment.
- Assist the sales department with application engineering, installation approvals, and organise trials and commissioning.
- Offer guidance on design specifications, installation matters, and torsional vibration calculations.
- Review customer inquiries and advise on suitable engine components, including mechanical and electrical designs.
- Support new RFQs and projects, assisting with builds, product evaluations, and installation commissioning.
- Deliver training to OEM engineering teams and represent Volvo Penta at industry events.
- Provide technical backup to dealers and assist with troubleshooting.
