We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our underwriting team at Volvo Financial Services. Who are you?
You are analytical, numerate and a confident communicator. You bring the following skills and experience:
- Degree in a numerate subject or strong quantitative experience from previous roles
- Comfortable interpreting financial data to support business decisions
- Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly, verbally and in writing
- Strong relationship builder with colleagues, customers and stakeholders
- Confident in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently within established policies and guidelines
- Experience in credit risk, underwriting or retail banking is advantageous, especially in credit assessments or credit strategies
- Growth mindset: curious, motivated to develop skills and collaborative
What you will do
- Preparing credit assessments for SME customers across the UK and Ireland, financing portfolio
- Analysing financial information to assess creditworthiness and support balanced commercial credit decisions
- Working independently within established credit policies, procedures and approval frameworks
- Collaborating with commercial teams and customers to support financing solutions
- Reporting to the Head of Credit and interacting with the credit committee as part of the decision-making process
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including process development and system enhancements
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring strong data integrity across internal systems
You will work closely with commercial colleagues and customers while reporting to the Head of Credit and interacting with a well-established and stable credit team.
