Fleet Service Engineer

Salary: Up to £49,000 depending on experience, 10 % Company bonus and Company Car 

Location: Warwick (Hybrid working with UK-wide travel)

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Service Engineer to join us at Volvo Trucks!

 

As a Fleet Service Engineer, you will support the National Fleet Team to ensure the highest level of service quality and customer satisfaction for our Key Accounts.

The Volvo Trucks National Fleet team works with customers across the UK and Ireland and Global corporations. This is an exciting role, where you can gain a real insight into the operational aspects and workings of the National Fleet Department, with potential further development opportunities. We will support you with the training and knowledge you need to reach your potential. 

 

You will be based at the Warwick Head Office for the UK, but as this is a field-based role, you will spend time visiting customer operations and dealer sites, as you will be dealing with several Fleet Accounts, building relationships to deliver the best customer satisfaction and ensuring best service levels are achieved.

Your Day- To- Day….

  • To ensure that strong local relationships are facilitated and maintained between National Key Account customer sites and their respective Volvo Dealer location
  • You will support the Key Account Managers in resolving any technical issues escalated from  the local dealer and  customer site.
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement in ways of working between Dealers and National Fleet Accounts.  Working closely with the respective Key Account Manager and relevant Dealer contacts.
  • Evaluate and monitor Service quality standards and KPIs for our National Key Account customers with respective RTM’s  to progress areas of deficiency.
  • You will liase with PQE/Service Market to understand warranty costs and failure frequencies and ensure financial support, campaigns etc driven by VTC are rolled out correctly with National Key Account customers and implemented in a timely manner through the Dealer Network.

Education / Professional Qualifications required for the position….

 

  • This role requires someone with experience working directly with customers and networks, preferably in the commercial vehicle industry.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate complicated information, instructions, applications, idea’s or principles often to people who may not be familiar with the subject matter.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive products, ideally Trucks.
  • Experience within the commercial vehicle industry.
