Working Hours: 37.5 hours a week, in the Office 5 days per week Monday-Friday

 

Degree Requirements:

• 2 years completed – Placement between 2nd & 3rd study years.

• Studying for a qualifying law degree (LLB). 

• Academic grades on track for a first or 2:1 in your chosen studies.

What You Will Do

As a Paralegal Intern, you'll work across different areas of law, gaining hands-on legal and business experience while supporting the Legal & Compliance team.

 

  • Reviewing and updating contractual templates to reflect changes in legislation
  • Identifying and implementing changes to business processes in response to regulatory change
  • Drafting internal policy documentation, briefing notes and training materials to educate the business on legal issues and best practice
  • Participation in additional stand-alone team projects. 
  • Providing general assistance to other members of the legal team
  • Conducting legal research and presenting findings clearly and concisely.

 

As a Paralegal Intern, you will have professional development opportunities, with on-the-job training and exposure to a wide range of legal and compliance tasks. Experience a unique blend of law and business, gaining insight into how in-house legal teams support a global business. Who are you?

  • You have strong analytical skills and understand how to research changes in legal development.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Excel with an interest in learning new systems.
  • You are motivated and willing to learn, develop, and contribute quickly, demonstrating independence in your work.
  • Confident with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business.
  • A strong interest in how an in-house legal function operates in the business sector.
