What you will do

We are looking for a Chief Accountant who shares a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they do. This position assists in providing the leadership and daily management of the Accounting Department, with a hands-on approach to operations, both front of house and administrative. Key responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for the legal entity
  • Ensure compliance with internal control objectives, local GAAP’s and Group Financial Policies and Procedures
  • Provide correct, complete and timely financial information for reporting, forecasting and controlling purposes (high quality baseline for financial information). Comment on key variances for internal and external reporting
  • Take lead to coordinate and drive the performance of the delivery team for the legal entity including local and remote FCA teams, Group Finance and business stakeholders
  • Provide strategic, operational and communications support to the Area Director and cross-functional leadership team to facilitate achievement of business objectives
  • Constantly drive quality and efficiency improvement for all accounting related processes
  • Drive and encourage daily control and monitoring within all accounting relevant processes
  • Coordinate and facilitate audits for the legal entity
  • Secure timely and correct cash management (processing of all cash-related transactions)
  • Support business functions in delivering accounting and financial advice as needed

Who are you?

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience gained in the similar role
  • University degree within the area of finance, accounting or taxes (or similar)
  • Strategic thinking abilities and demonstrated business acumen in an international environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to lead through influence
  • Fluent Polish and English language (written and spoken)
  • Analytical capacity and skills to support the organization to take the right actions
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Expertise in Local GAAP Accounting and IAS / IFRS
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of Polish tax regulations
  • Ability to partner across organization to deliver effective business solutions
  • Demonstrated exceptional people management and leadership capabilities
  • Good command of SAP system and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Power Point)
